Branding and interior design for SunMarket C-Stores, part of a multi-format petrol forecourt and motorway services rebranding initiative for the Western Oil Group in Ukraine.


WOG (Western Oil Group) is the largest and most
recognisable petrol forecourt brand in Ukraine.As petrol forecourt retail changes, a new emphasis is placed on branding, the quality of the store offer, and fuel brands. Working with the Marketing team of WOG, we rebranded SUNMARKET,
planned a new store interior to deliver impact and reflect
the rational value of the customer promise:
"super product - super value - low prices".

The WOG petrol forecourt proposition focuses on delivering more than just fuel, offering a comprehensive and customer-centric experience. Their forecourts are designed to meet the evolving needs of modern consumers by providing a blend of fuel services, convenience food, and high-quality retail offerings.
The brief tasked our innovations team with interior design and branding solutions to provide a vision for a future brand platform for the retail operation.

WOG offers an extensive selection of convenience goods, including grocery essentials, snacks, drinks, and personal care items. Their retail space is designed to cater to both the everyday needs of drivers and the preferences of non-fuel customers looking for quick and accessible shopping options.

A significant part of their proposition is the WOG Café, which provides a wide range of freshly prepared food and beverage options. Customers can enjoy quality coffee, sandwiches, snacks, and full meals, making WOG a destination for both refuelling and dining.

The three forecourt formats identified: The Motorway (with a 150m2 sales area), the Urban (with a 100 m2 sales area) and the Urban reduced (with a 50-60 m2 sales area).
WOG management wanted to be seen as a confident brand, a challenger to its larger rivals and reflect a shift to a modern, coffee and food retail operation.
