Continuum Holdings' management team approached us to create an innovative interior design for Port City, pushing the boundaries of destination retail.
Inspired by nature, the design incorporates recurring themes of water and light. Four floating roof vaults span across the malls, capturing and diffusing natural light to dramatic effect. The interior is styled in a distinct modern aesthetic, drawing on Ukrainian culture and folklore. Each entrance into this virtual city enhances the uniqueness of the zones, with strong way-finding elements. The ‘welcome halls’ are themed around the four elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, while the mall’s interior resembles balconied streets, complete with ornamental balustrades, adding to the distinctive character of the space.
