Harrods is one of the world's largest and most famous department stores. The upmarket department store located in Knightsbridge, London occupies a 20,000 m2 site and has 330 departments covering 90,000 m2 of retail space.
How to create a department store shop layout that gets people to purchase more products.
With a footprint of 700 square metres allocated for the household electrical department, Harrods wanted our store design team to showcase top end appliances in an environment that reflected the style and quality of the products on offer.
When it comes to VM display and retail interior shop design, we aim to animate as many brands as possible.
Working closely with a team put together by the Harrods development executive for the project, our international brand team developed a first draft of the proposed brand expression for the household appliances department store design. The proposals were developed by using input from key stakeholders, and latest customer feedback concerning the product range.
Our retail designers produced ideas that covered a spectrum of design solutions, from the conservative to the most innovative and contemporary. One solution was brought forward for development and the monochrome super graphic treatment was fused with a warm contemporary interior, merchandised with up-market products.
